Grigor is a deadly murderer trained by an elite group of hired killers, the Assassin Guild. The Guild's ideology of remaining neutral and swearing to their ancient code is based on the contracts submitted rather than a specific moral code or set of values. Grigor found that their marks weren't always a challenge or a large payout (financially or personally).

 

As he continued to make a name for himself, Grigor found that the money wasn't what interested him, and killing others was of no consequence to his conscience. What Grigor enjoys is watching life fade from his marks, using a variety of poisons and tonics to confuse, trap, and defeat his foes. His dedication to the long, agonizing death of his victims is what earned him the moniker of the “Vile Dispatcher.”

 

His brutal and vicious attacks are thought to be the result of a traumatic childhood, but no one other than Mialee knows anything about his dark past. Little is known about this character's life before their now fearsome reputation.

Grigor is not concerned with the ancient legends about “Lord of Darkness" or the "Void." Grigor has only ever cared about inflicting as much pain in this one life as he is capable. With the skills and training he has acquired in his lifetime, he should be feared and avoided at all costs. Grigor dispatches marks for pleasure, and for that reason, he doesn't associate with others often unless they provide a useful service.

 

Of what little history is known about this character, he was once something of a mentor or friend to Mialee; the two were both loners and outcasts among their own people. Their isolation led them to each other, taking solace in each other’s company. What ultimately removed him from the Guild was Mialee: scorned and betrayed by Grigor, she investigated Grigor to expose him after he tried to kill her father without the Assassin Guild’s consent or instruction. He reasoned that familial connections weakened her resolve as an Assassin and must be removed for her to reach her full potential.

 

When confronted, the act itself was relatively forgivable in the Assassin Guild’s eyes; however, what the guild found in Grigor’s etchings and terrible journals describing the horrific acts he had inflicted on others is why they ostracized him. The intricacies of his torture methods and precisely documented instructions of how to inflict pain and suffering made the guild realize that Grigor was no more an assassin than he was a wicked sadist. After being banished from the Assassin’s Guild, Grigor disappeared briefly. Now, he is only tracked by the victims he leaves in his wake.

Grigor, Vile Dispatcher – [Shadow Build]

  • The Shadow Build takes the opposite approach to Grigor’s otherwise preferred tactic of brutally engaging his foe head-on with no remorse and instead offers a more defensive approach. Focusing on Stealth, avoidance, and damage over time, this guild focuses on sustainability (damage and self) rather than outright damage.
