In a realm of gods and monsters, many would consider the pursuit of music and the bardic ways to be relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of events. However, this was never the case with Xavier Rift: he had long believed Havokk was meant to rock, and where there is rock, there is Xavier Rift.  

  

This infamously known Bard moves from venue to venue, tavern to tavern, blasting away his audiences with a new type of Bardic weaponry: “Rock” music. Xavier found himself in possession of a thought-to-be mythical Bardic instrument known as the Draco-Harmonicon. This seemingly ornate harmonica holds a terrifying power, and when played, causes explosive results. Only wanting to spread the good sound of music throughout the land, Xavier has become something of a living legend with tales of this musician literally bringing down the house at his appearances (unintentionally).

  

Xavier’s path to a living legend of musical artistry began when he was a small child. The son of a pair of traveling musicians, he was quick to learn how to repair and create musical instruments to assist his parents. Upon learning to play the lute for the first time, his impassioned playing of the instrument caused a nearby candle to erupt into a roaring tower of flame. His father, who was a Mortal, and his mother, who was Nelven, explained that the magical energies coursing through his veins could be channeled through a variety of tools, including musical instruments. His mother taught him how to control these energies, and from there, Xavier Rift was born. Taking the stage name of Xavier Rift (original name unknown), this young performer took off on his own to make a name for himself, and the musical genre that he is known for pioneering: Rock.

  

When not performing, Xavier brings along his trusty “Stagesmasher”, an instrument of his own design: Half-guitar, Half-axe, Full Glory. A master of song, this character uses his powerful instruments and rock music to get himself into trouble wherever he goes. His goal? To collect the legendary bardic instruments of rock, then play the show that will be sung about for ages to come. His dream is to unite all of Havokk under the banner of creativity and music.

  

Of legend, there are five instruments of legend, Xavier owning one: the Draco-Harmonicon. As he travels from venue to venue, he strives to gather additional information about these instruments of legend and believes that if he follows the music, it will inevitably lead him to them. From there, and with his band of followers, they will create the greatest show to ever be played.
